My Canada Story Contest - July 2 to August 31, 2009

CONTEST RULES
1. Any person who is a permanent resident of Canada who once immigrated to Canada can enter the contest by telling us about their journey to Canada in 250 words or less. Entrants are asked to submit their story by email to mycanada.story@bmo.com or by mailing it to BMO Bank of Montreal, Attn: Local and Cultural Marketing, 55 Bloor Street West, 14th Floor, Toronto, Ontario M4W 3N5 by no later than August 31, 2009 (the "Contest Closing Date"). Winners will be selected randomly and asked to provide a Canadian Permanent Resident Card, Record of Landing, or any form of government recognized documentation that could prove that they once immigrated to Canada prior to prize being awarded. No purchase is necessary.
PRIZES
2. There are 3 Prizes each of $1000 to be won. Each Prize will be either $1,000 cash deposited into the winner's BMO bank account or a $1,000 cash will be awarded in the event that the winner does not have a BMO bank account, . Prizes must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or assignable.
HOW TO WIN
3. The winners will be randomly drawn on September 19, 2009 and notified by the Bank by telephone, mail or in person. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted in that manner within 30 days of the draw date, the entry will be declared void, and another eligible entrant will be selected.
4. Before being declared a winner of the sweepstakes, the selected entrant must provide a Canadian Permanent Resident Card, Record of Landing, or any form of government recognized documentation that could prove that they once immigrated to Canada and correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill testing question. The odds of being selected depend on the number of eligible entries received.
GENERAL
5. This Contest is open to Canadian residents who have reached the age of majority in their province of residence, and who have obtained landed immigrant status with Canadian Permanent Resident Card, Record of Landing or any form of government recognized documentation that could prove that they once immigrated to Canada to confirm. BMO Bank of Montreal and its affiliates' and subsidiaries' employees, agencies, prize suppliers, or a member of the immediate family of any of the foregoing person or persons with whom they are domiciled are prohibited from participating in this contest.
6. By entering, entrants agree to abide by contest rules and the decisions of Bank of Montreal, which are final. Entrants consent to the use of their name and/or photographs, in any publicity carried out by the contest sponsor. Additionally, by submitting a story, entrants agree to allow BMO to share their story through promotional and marketing materials including, but not limited to pages on bmo.com. All entries become the property of the contest sponsor who assumes no responsibility for entries lost, misplaced, destroyed or delayed. The contest sponsor reserves the right to cancel this contest at any time or to change the terms of it in any way. To be confirmed as a winner, you must sign a standard Declaration of Compliance with the contest rules and a release form, releasing the contest sponsor and its agencies from any liability occurring as a result of a prize being awarded. Contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws.
7. All entries become the property of the Bank and none will be returned. The Bank assumes no responsibility for entries lost, misplaced, destroyed or delayed. The Bank reserves the right to cancel this contest at any time or to change the terms of it in any way. The Bank may retain and use this information for future marketing of its products and services to you and may share it within the BMO Financial Group (that is, the Bank and its subsidiaries and affiliates) which provide deposit, loan, investment, securities, brokerage, insurance, trust and other products and services. 8. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. Any litigation involving a Quebec resident respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation involving a Quebec resident respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
9. To receive a list of winners, send a postage-paid, self-addressed envelope, within 90 days of the Contest Closing Date, to BMO Bank of Montreal, 55 Bloor Street West 14th Floor, Toronto Ontario, M4W 3N5

1. 3. The Bank and/or its authorized agents may use the name, address and/or photograph and/or submitted story of the prize winner, without any payment or compensation to such winner in any advertising, publicity or promotion carried out in connection with the Winner's participation in the Contest.

5. Bank assumes no responsibility for the prize or its use.
6. The terms of the contest rules and this release shall apply to and be binding on our heirs, executors, successors and assigns.
