Hospital Cash Plan
Receive a daily cash benefit for hospital stays and use it as you wish to meet your various financial needs. Plans are available for individuals and couples, as well as two-parent and single-parent families. Coverage is available for Accident & Sickness or Accident only.

Daily Hospital Cash Benefit
Provides a daily cash benefit of up to $100, for a maximum of 365 days, for in-patient hospital stays due to Accidents or Sickness.

Double Cash Benefit for Intensive Care Unit
Provides double the benefits, for every full day spent in an Intensive Care Unit, for a maximum of 30 days.

Eligibility
You must be a BMO Financial Group customer and a resident of Canada between the ages of 18 and 70.

When Does Coverage Begin and End?
Coverage begins on:

  • the day the request for coverage is received and a certificate is issued by BMO Life.

Coverage ends on the earliest of:

  • the date the group policy is terminated;
  • 30 days after the premium due date if the required premium remains unpaid;
  • the next premium due date after we receive your request to cancel;
  • the date you are no longer a resident of Canada ;
  • when you turn 75 years of age;
  • on the date of death; or
  • the date you are no longer a BMO Financial Group customer

Cost
The premiums depend on age and whether you chose coverage for Accident & Sickness or Accident only.

Single Parent $11.50 $15.25 $18.00
Policyholder & Spouse $16.50 $22.50 $29.00
Family $18.50 $24.50 $31.00

Accident only Plan

Age: 18 – 70    
Policyholder $5.00    
Single Parent $6.25    
Policyholder & Spouse $7.50    
Family $8.75    

Benefits reduce at age 65.
