Send and/or receive money quickly, conveniently, and securely using BMO Bank of Montreal's online Interac®* Email Money Transfer service:

  • Send money to your child away at school.
  • Pay money owed to a friend, family member or neighbour.
  • Send money to yourself to deposit into an account at another financial institution.
  • Contribute to an office collection for baby showers, wedding showers, etc.

Benefits

  • Easy to use: You need only to be registered for Online Banking and know the email address of the person you want to send money to.
  • Convenient: Interac Email Money Transfer is a convenient, faster way to send and receive money.¹
  • Secure: Interac Email Money Transfer has the same level of security and confidentiality as online banking transactions. Money is not sent by email – email is used only for notification purposes.

Features

  • Two FREE Interac Email Money Transfers per month are included with the Performance and Premium Banking Plans and one FREE Interac Email Money Transfer is included with the Plus Plan; each additional Interac Email Money Transfer is $1.50.
  • Cost is $1.50 to send an Interac Email Money Transfer.
  • There is no cost to receive an Interac Email Money Transfer via Online Banking.²
  • Minimum Interac Email Money Transfer amount is $10.
  • Maximum Interac Email Money Transfer amount is $1,000 per day.
