Steve Somerville
President and Chief Executive Officer, BMO Capital Corporation

Steve Somerville , President and Chief Executive Officer, BMO Capital Corporation, is responsible for the management of BMO Bank of Montreal's 19 member team that provides subordinated debt and quasi-equity investments across Canada. Additionally, Steve is responsible for BMO Capital Corporation's external fund investments and BMO Bank of Montreal's mid-market Financial Advisory Services business.

Steve is also a member of BMO Bank of Montreal's Corporate Finance Division Leadership Team and has over 15 years of experience providing investment banking and capital market services to Canadian mid-market businesses.

Steve received his Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from the University of Western Ontario and his MBA with distinction from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.

Eric Ehgoetz
Managing Director

Eric Ehgoetz  is a Managing Director of BMO Capital Corporation and shares responsibility for overseeing investments in Ontario and Central Canada. Eric is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. Eric has over 20 years of diversified experience in risk management, structured finance and merchant banking within Schedule 1 financial institutions, non-bank lenders and insurance companies.

Nadim Hirji
Managing Director

Nadim Hirji  is a Managing Director of BMO Capital Corporation and also shares responsibility for overseeing investments in Ontario and Central Canada. Nadim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Calgary and is presently in the process of completing an MBA through Dalhousie University and the Professional Banking Program through the Institute of Canadian Bankers. He has been active in the financial services industry for over 13 years holding several positions in Toronto and Calgary, including Corporate Finance, Corporate Restructuring, Corporate Banking, Real Estate Project Lending, Business Development, Oil and Gas Lending and Commercial Banking.

Claude Miron
Managing Director

Claude Miron is a Managing Director of BMO Capital Corporation and is responsible for investments in Quebec and Atlantic Canada. Claude brings 20 years of business experience in a variety of finance, venture capital and private equity roles. Past President of the Quebec Venture Capital Association, Claude has held senior roles as Vice-President Life Sciences at CDP Capital Sofinov, Vice-President of Venture Capital at BDC and Partner at Edgestone Capital Partners.

Western Canada

Darren Yaworsky
Managing Director

Darren Yaworsky is a Managing Director of BMO Capital Corporation and is responsible for overseeing investments in Western Canada. Darren holds a Commerce degree in Accounting from Lakehead University, an Economic Development Degree from the University of Waterloo and an MBA (Finance) from the University of Manitoba.  He is presently in the process of completing a Doctorate Degree in Finance through the University of Phoenix and also holds a Certified Economic Developer designation with the Economic Developers Association of Canada. Darren has been active in the financial services industry for over 10 years holding several positions in Calgary, London and Winnipeg; including: Corporate Finance, Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Oil and Gas Lending, Global Risk Management and Commercial Banking.
