J.B. (Jim) Kelsey

Jim Kelsey's career at Bank of Montreal spans 40 years, with the last 20 years as an executive officer of the Bank.  After joining the Bank in Ontario, Jim advanced through various management positions culminating in his promotion in 1989 to Vice-President, Independent Business and Agriculture.  After moving to Vancouver as the executive officer responsible for the Bank's commercial line of business in British Columbia, Jim returned to Ontario in 1997 to lead the newly formed Corporate Finance Division.  The Division's rapid growth and success led to Jim's promotion to his current position as Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance Division, Personal and Commercial Client Group.

Mr. Kelsey is responsible for the overall management, strategic positioning and financial execution of the eight integrated lines of business that form the Corporate Finance Division and provide customized financial solutions for companies in the upper mid-market segment in Canada.

Ian Hayes

Ian Hayes has national responsibility and assists the Team Leads in the various lines of business within Corporate Finance in structuring and pricing new business opportunities. Ian is a seasoned banker with over 25 years experience with Bank of Montreal in Canada and the United States. has a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Business Administration Degree from the University of British Columbia, has completed the Canadian Securities Course and has awarded a Fellow in the Institute of Canadian Bankers.

Doug Palmer

Doug Palmer is responsible for management of the Ontario and Atlantic clients of BMO's Corporate Finance Division. Doug brings over 20 years of extensive corporate and commercial finance experience to this role including senior debt lending, M&A advisory services, risk management & restructuring. Doug holds an MBA from Dalhousie University, and CGA and FICB (Gold Medalist) designations.

Natasha Sharpe

Natasha Sharpe is responsible for managing the Ontario region accounts for the Corporate Finance Division. Natasha has over 13 years of experience providing turnaround management, M&A services and senior debt banking services to Canadian mid-market and upper mid-market businesses. Natasha holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Toronto as well as a doctorate from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.

Richard Côté is responsible managing the Quebec accounts for the Corporate Finance Division. Richard has over 33 year experience in the business financial services and has extensive involvement in the marketplace and the communities he serves. He is a past Chair of the Provincial chamber of commerce. Richard holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Université Laval and an MBA from L'Université du Québec à Montréal.

Pierre Tardif is currently Director and Team Leader appointed in October 2001. Since he joined the Bank of Montreal in 1984 as part of the Management Development Program, Pierre has held positions at various Commercial Banking Units in the Laval and Montreal areas. Prior to Corporate Finance, he was with the Canadian Corporate Accounts group responsible for high-end mid-market accounts. Pierre holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from École des Hautes Études Commerciales.

Nadim Hirji is responsible for managing the Prairies accounts for the Corporate Finance Division. Nadim brings 16 years of extensive corporate and commercial finance expertise including merchant banking, senior debt lending, real estate finance, oil & gas lending, risk management & restructuring. Nadim holds an MBA from Dalhousie University and a FICB designation (Fellow, Institute of Canadian Bankers).

James Gallagher is responsible for managing the British Columbia accounts for the Corporate Finance Division. Jim has been with the Corporate Finance Division since its inception in 1997 and was appointed Vice President in 2005.  He has over 20 years of corporate, institutional, and international banking experience.  Jim is a graduate of the Faculty of Commerce at the University of British Columbia.
